About Us

Morris Cohen Glen & Co traces its origins back to 1925 when a young, recently qualified accountant, Morris J. Cohen, commenced practice in Queen Street, Melbourne.

Over the years the firm has merged with a number of Chartered Accounting practices and today has four directors, two consultants (both former directors) and over 20 staff. The firm’s success has continued due to a combination of highly motivated and qualified directors and staff, competitive fee structures and, most importantly, our professional integrity and commitment to our clients.

Directors
Angelo Mazzone B.Ec F.C.A. Angelo has been a director of the firm since July 1992 having commenced as an employee three years earlier. He previously spent three years with a major international accounting firm. He has assumed responsibility in leading the audit and specialised accounting areas of the practice. In addition he is involved in taxation and general accounting work servicing clients such as professionals, not-for-profit organisations, manufacturers and investors. mazzone@morco.com.au		Martin S. Artenstein B.Com F.C.A. Martin has been a director of the firm since July 1995 and operated his own firm for 5 years following 12 years at two international firms. He has clients in the areas of computing and emerging technologies, media and communications and privately owned businesses in general. He is also able to assist in establishing and maintaining foreign corporations and branches. artenstein@morco.com.au
Harish Budhiraja CA MCom LLB Harish has been appointed as a director of the firm, effective 1 July 2010. Harish is an experienced professional who in the past has worked in a number of Chartered Accountancy practices both in Australia and India, with a primary focus on audit and consultancy services. In his present role in our firm, he is responsible for the audit and assurance assignments covering trading and manufacturing companies, foreign controlled entities, associations, trusts and government funded organisations. Using his international experience, he has assisted our international clients, in setting up their businesses in Australia and educating their staff on various legal and compliance issues. harish@morco.com.au		Andrew Lupis GradCertAcct FIPA Our newest director, Andrew has been appointed effective 1 July 2011. Andrew began his professional career with Morris Cohen Glen & Co in the early 1990s and was primarily involved in audit and small business consultancy services. Andrew also owned his own accountancy practice from January 1996 in Perth, Western Australia, selling the business in November 2010 to move back to Morris Cohen Glen & Co in Melbourne. He is responsible for managing accounting and business services clients in addition to leading our self managed superannuation funds section and for developing strategies relating thereto. Eric M. Cohen B.Com F.C.A. After many years as Senior Partner in the practice, Eric has gained a wealth of experience in servicing the requirements of clients. He is also involved in the day-to-day management of the affairs of major clients operating in the investment, manufacturing and professional service industries.		George Sbarrato F.C.A. George brings to his position a wealth of experience in client servicing after many years as a partner in the practice. His area of practice is in servicing clients in the manufacturing industry and rental property investors. He is also involved in the day-to-day management of the investment affairs of some of the firm's major clients.
